Jason Yu, Consulting Design Associate

Jason graduated with a Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and was awarded the 2015 University Olmsted Scholar by the Landscape Architecture Foundation. Jason joined Terrain Studio to continue his career as a landscape architect and expand his sense of aesthetics. With an international education and practice background from both China and New Zealand, Jason’s role in projects ranges from conceptual to detail design and project coordination on several recent projects including the Hanzhong Xing Yuan Lake Theme Park North and South Waterways and Parks, Huangpu Riverfront Competition, Longfor Hangzhou Intercontinental Hotel, and Huckleberry Park (SPARK) at Mark Twain Elementary School, in Houston, Texas. Jason is interested in identifying and preserving the cultural significance and heritage potential in landscape from a development-oriented perspective. His experiences equip him with a global vision to understand cultural differences, as well as an ability to pay attention to clients’ practical needs.
