Liwan graduated with a master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Michigan in 2019. She also minored in Master of Science with a specialty in Environmental Policy and Planning.
She believes in the power of our everyday living and working environment. Has been grown up in an industrial city in Northeastern China, she values clean air and the blue sky more than many people. She feels the responsibility to protect the environment and raise awareness of our degrading natural environment. She believes that the best landscape architecture projects will encourage changes in behavior, which will create the possibility for all the positive outcomes we long for, such as the clear creek and people’s beautiful smiles. By utilizing design and evolving technology as a tool, she pursues to shape vivid, agreeable, and sustainable places where people can embrace, energize, and educate others.
