John enjoys working in the realms of landscape architecture, master planning, ecology, architecture, and art. He has crafted an exceptional body of work across the globe with distinctive projects that fulfill clients’ aspirations for provocative and poetic experiences. An emphasis throughout his work is the art of place-making that is intrinsically unique to each project, while responding to social, environmental, and economic factors. Before graduating with honors from the University of Southern California in 1996 with a Bachelor of Architecture, he was named a Gamble House Scholar-In-Residence and received an international design award from the AIA/ACSA Research Council on Urban Housing. He is very comfortable working in all phases and facets of design, project management, office oversight, contracts, and mentoring. With clients including prominent figures and corporations in culture and business, John has an expansive portfolio of projects that includes museums, communities, parks, urban mixed-use, luxury resorts, vineyards, clubhouses, themed attractions, and private estates. His diverse background has sculpted a body of work that blurs traditional boundaries.
